• Welcome to Featherstone Gymnastics Club Website

Featherstone Gymnastics Club operate from Airedale Community Sports Centre (Airedale High School) 6 days per week. The club is run entirely by volunteers and is affiliated to British Gymnastics.

The club offers badge classes for boys and girls who come along and train and may progress to basic competition. Some gymnasts may be selected to progress to an Advanced Badge Class, having a go at 4 piece gymnastics, or to join a group focussing more on floor and vault or even to join one of the Women's Artistic squads at the club.

There are two women's artistic squads, one as development and one competition squad. Each enters regional competitions and trains towards the National Development Plan for Women's Artistic, four piece gymnastics.

Gymnasts impress

Our gymnasts do it again! After competing in a recent Yorkshire competition at levels 5 and 4 we are delighted to congratulate the following gymnasts:

Erris Swinson who won the bronze medal in the 9/10 age group at the level 5 gaining a score of 44.875, just over one point behind the first placed gymnast.

Well done to Annie Knight (gaining fifth on floor) and Molly Hepworth (placed 8th on beam),  who also competed in the 9/10 age group. Alex Campbell also performed outstandingly following a come back from a lenghty injury.

In the 11/12 age group Rhiannon Hepworth (11.5 and 7th place on vault), Rachel McMaster, and Phoebe Lamb also competed. With  Lucy Amery and Sophie Barrington who gave solid performances in the 13+ category.

In the level 4 competition Chloe Lamb won gold! A confident performance on beam led to the first of two golds before she went on to win overall gold in the 13+ age group. Congratulations Chloe.
